This project led me to explore the transition from two-dimensional surfaces to three-dimensional forms and spaces, blending conceptual rules, formal principles, and the effects of light and material.
The model was developed based on a strict rule of three actions: cutting, folding, and bending. It showcases a dynamic three-dimensional space, with an intriguing play of light and shadow.
The design’s rhythm is created by repetition of raised patterns, which create a sense of movement and texture. The curves accentuate a rotational movement, further emphasized by the reflection of the light and its interaction with surfaces, adding depth and complexity to the overall form.
