The objective of the Inflexion exercise was to design a passable topography, creating a logical, cohesive sequence while exploring the concepts of landscape, event, movement, and vectors of inflexion.
Through the creation of the model, using a series of sequential cuts of profiles, the goal was to generate a slow, fluid movement by employing varying angles, inclinations, and heights for each profile, while playing with the contrasts between steep and gentle slopes.
During the design process, I developed a refined sense of spatial rhythm and continuity, while also recognizing the critical role of photo presentation in showcasing a project. I discovered that ensuring a perfectly uniform and homogeneous white background is essential, as it directs the viewer’s attention solely to the model, preventing any distractions.
