The Modular Tray project reimagines the traditional desk organizer by blending functional organization with sculptural form. Designed to neatly arrange pens, pencils, and small objects, it uses a combination of steel and finely milled wood. Fabrication techniques included sheet metal folding and wood milling, emphasizing craftsmanship and material contrast.

The undulating wood tray holds objects naturally across its flowing surface, while steel compartments, shaped with serrated bases, nest securely into the wood structure. The interplay between smooth wood and crisp steel creates a tactile and visual dialogue, emphasizing both stability and fluidity. The pastel blue color was carefully selected to evoke calmness and focus, enhancing the workspace without overpowering it.

Through its minimalist yet expressive design, the project transforms an everyday office accessory into a thoughtful, elevated experience that balances functionality and artistry.
